Kvelertak Live In London: Owl Party

18 Mar
Kvelertak Live in London Camden Electric Ballroom March 14

This man has an owl on his head. It’s clearly time to party.

Whores’ drawers, I fucking LOVE Kvelertak.

A little green of gill and somewhat gig-jaded, there was notable anti-anticipation around these parts as the clock ticked down towards time-to-get-off-my-arse o’clock.

You see the sour taste of The Sword remained and while High on Fire wobbled my jowls pleasingly with their vibrating air, the crowd carried the faintest whiff of dickhead.

Earthburner - Stoned at Birth

I don’t think babies should be allowed to smoke marijuana. They can’t roll their own for a start…

NOT the Kyuss rip-off you might expect with a bandname and EP title like that.

Gallows

This is what I come home to every night…

I’m super-stoked to post something home-grown for a change instead of my usual filthy brew of US and Scando nastiness.

British hardcore band Gallows have hovered around the edges of my heavy radar for a couple of years.

I dipped a pinkie into 2009’s Grey Britain but I couldn’t get a lock on it despite the rave reviews in the UK music press.

That’s all changed with today’s release of the eponymous Gallows. It’s their third album but first with new throat Wade MacNeil after shedding fan and press favourite Frank Carter.
